While going through NST Online I saw a caption titled ” Bukit Selambau By-Election : People need a steady govt to take care of their needs ” Writes NST Journalist.
This sort of Heading caught me by suprise and its really puzzling. I have to say this because what is happening in Bukit Selambau right now is about filling a vacant seat. The State Government is already there. The successful candidate if it comes from PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) will become part of the Pakatan Rakyat government. If it is from the rest than he or she will become an opposition member of the Dewan Undangan Negeri Kedah Darul Aman.
I do agree that Bukit Selambau folks still backward in term of development. Its more than 50 years we achieved Merdeka i.e. we rule our own country but lets not play the blame game.
On hardship and multiple problems faced by residents such as inadequate of medical facilities and getting helps from Welfare Services and SOCSO or what so ever the Federal Government should also play their part, after all most govt departments are under federal jurisdiction.
As we can see PKR is fielding a young and energetic Mr. S. Manikumar ( 35 year old ) which suits the Ladang atmosphere. The poeple of Bukit Selambau can rely on him.
